Download
You need both the phone app and the PC program.
1. PC program (64-bit Windows 10/11)
One installer sets up the program and the virtual display driver together. You don't need to install .NET separately.
Install
- Double-click the downloaded
MiniMonitor-Setup.msi. If Windows asks for administrator permission, choose "Yes" (it's needed to install the driver). - The installer runs by itself and adds MiniMonitor to the Start menu.
- Start MiniMonitor from the Start menu. The first time, Windows Firewall may ask for permission: allow it on private networks, or your phone can't connect.
Windows SmartScreen may show a warning. The installer isn't signed with a code-signing certificate, which triggers it. Choose "More info → Run anyway" to continue.
The virtual display driver is the open-source Virtual Display Driver. Installing a driver can make the screen flicker briefly, and on some systems a reboot is needed.
2. Phone app (Android 8.0 or newer)
The phone app is distributed through Google Play only.
Uninstall
PC program and virtual display driver
In Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, remove MiniMonitor. That removes the program, its shortcut and the virtual display driver together. Reboot afterwards to make the virtual monitor disappear completely.
If the screen goes blank right after installing, press Win + P and choose "PC screen only", or press Win + Ctrl + Shift + B to reset the graphics driver.
Phone app
Uninstall it like any other app. The saved PC information is deleted with it.
